Description

On this trip to the Philippines we discover both this enticing country's amazing landscapes and a rich cultural heritage unlike anything else in South East Asia. Setting out from the teeming megacity of Manila, we travel north to the Cordillera Mountains, where we visit the incredible 2000 year-old towering rice terraces of the indigenous Ifugao people and ancient hanging coffins of Sagada's burial caves. We explore the UNESCO-listed colonial quarter of coastal Vigan by Calesa and hike to the crater lake of Mount Pinatubo volcano. Taking a fast boat to the island of Mindoro, we base ourselves at Coco Beach for the chance to swim, snorkel and relax.
